I just found this on my bed, it scares me a little, what is it?
Imagine this: You walk into your room, ready to relax, when you find some strange reddish-brown objects on your bed. You pick them up: small, capsule-shaped, shiny, and unfamiliar. Immediately, worry sets in. Are they insect eggs? Strange seeds? Medication? Or something more serious?
1. Softgels (supplements or medications):
Their shape and color resemble common softgels, such as those for fish oil, vitamin E, or krill oil. They detach easily and can fall into the litter box unnoticed. If you or someone you know takes supplements, check for any that look similar.
2. Seeds.
Although less likely, some seeds, such as pomegranate or date seeds, can have a smooth, dark appearance. However, in general, seeds have a more fibrous or opaque texture, unlike the shiny, gelatinous surface seen here.
3. Insect exuviae or feces?
This is a common fear: that it’s something insect-related. Fortunately, these objects don’t resemble insect eggs, larvae, or droppings. Most insect eggs are white or translucent and irregularly shaped. In this case, the objects are too uniform and shiny to be insect matter.
4. Edible Candies or Beads:
Some candies or food decorations used in cooking may look similar. However, it is very unlikely that they will suddenly appear in a bed without food.
That’s exactly what you see in the photo above. Three mysterious reddish-brown objects were found in the palm of a person’s hand, on a bed. Let’s look at some possible explanations for what these objects could be.
